Article 302 Power of Parliament to impose restrictions on trade, commerce and intercourse.

This article lets Parliament restrict the freedom where needed. Parliament may by law impose restrictions on trade between States in the public interest. The interest must be stated in the law. Restrictions by Parliament are the exception that keeps the union honest.
- Parliament may by law impose such restrictions on the freedom of trade, commerce or intercourse between one State and another or within any part of the territory of India as may be required in the public interest.
