Article 243J Audit of accounts of Panchayats.

This article covers Panchayat accounts. A State may by law provide for the keeping of accounts by Panchayats. It may provide for the audit of those accounts. The Comptroller and Auditor-General may be entrusted with the audit. Accountability flows through the State’s own arrangement.
