Article 31 Compulsory acquisition of property.

This article was omitted by the Constitution Forty fourth Amendment Act in 1978. It earlier made the right to property a fundamental right. Property is now only an ordinary legal right under Article 300A. The State may take property for public use with a valid law and a fair process.
